Traditional Musical Instruments


Indonesia has many traditional musical instruments. This is because almost every region has a traditional musical instruments.
Below are some of traditional musical instruments in Indonesia:

1. ANGKLUNG



Angklung is a traditional musical instruments from West Java. This instruments make from bamboo, sounded sounded shaken by ( the sound caused by the clash of bodies bamboo pipes ) so can produce sounds.

2. BEDUG



Bedug is a traditional musical instrument which has been used since thousands of years ago, which has functioned as a means of communication in the ancient times, both in religious rituals and communication between people. In this time, Bedug used to notify the society when entering the praying time. Bedug usually used when people do the around takbir in Idul Fitri and Idul Adha.

3.CALUNG

Judging from its shape, many people whice equate it with Angklung. Athough has many same, but way the instrument sounds very different. Angklung to come out sounding just shaken, while the way to beat Calung must with hit bamboo poles.

4. GAMELAN 


Gamelan come from Java language that meaning beating or ing. some of province that until now still used gamelan in every event is East Java, Cenral Java, and Bali. In this time, Gamelan also well known used in comedy program that very popular in TV, Opera Van Java.

5. KECAPI


Kecapi is very popular in society of Sunda and used in event that has relation with culture.

6. KOLINTANG


Kolintang is the Minahasa's traditional musical instrument. The name of Kolintang according to the society derived from its sounds: Tong ( low tone ), Ting ( high tone ), and Tang ( usual tone ). In region language has meaning persuation : Let's we do TONG TING TANG  ". This invitation eventually turned into kolintang word to be easily pronounced by the people.
